The "Life Dream Club" was founded with the mission of making dreams come true for individuals facing physical challenges, even if the dream is simply to “look normal.”
“Who wouldn’t want to be beautiful?
Who wouldn’t want to appear radiant on screen…”
However, not everyone is blessed with an ideal appearance. Many individuals face significant physical imperfections that lead them to feel isolated and withdrawn. Understanding the struggles of these “less fortunate” individuals, Kangnam Aesthetic Hospital became the first in Vietnam to pioneer a charitable program focused on aesthetic surgery through its "Journey of Transformation." This initiative has helped transform appearances and restore confidence for many in need, bringing a brighter outlook to their lives.
Driven by the goal of extending compassion to more individuals facing physical challenges, Kangnam Aesthetic Hospital launched the Life Dream Club in February 2023. This non-profit organization aspires to become the largest charitable entity in Vietnam, specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery along with social initiatives to support those with physical imperfections.
The club’s charitable approach goes beyond traditional donations of clothing, food, or financial aid. Instead, the Life Dream Club takes a unique path by working to fulfill the dream of those with visible differences, even if that dream is as simple as “looking normal.”
Among the thousands of lives the club has touched, Pham Thi Dieu Thuy’s story is one that stands out. Teased and ostracized as “Thuy with one eye” throughout her school years, Thuy faced immense social isolation. After marriage, a growing tumor brought further challenges, eventually leading her husband to leave due to family and community pressures. At the age of 27, left to raise her child alone, Thuy found hope through the Life Dream Club. Kangnam’s doctors removed her tumor and performed aesthetic procedures, giving her a fresh start and newfound confidence.
Similar to Pham Thi Dieu Thuy, young singer Tran Thanh Hien faced numerous struggles due to her facial structure, which created challenges in her life. Despite possessing a powerful, beautiful voice, Hien lacked the confidence to fully shine and embrace her talent. When she came to the Life Dream Club, her story gained the attention of Kangnam’s doctors. With three surgeries and six advanced procedures, they transformed her appearance, giving her a new life and a renewed path toward her dreams.
The story of Cao Thi Lan from Nghe An, after having plastic surgery, returning home and being chased away by her "abnormal mother" because she did not recognize her, and the tearful reunion has crossed the border and become a Hot Top Search on Baidu of the billion-people Chinese market.
Beyond transforming appearances, the Life Dream Club provides vocational training and job placement to help those facing challenges become valuable contributors to society.
Phan Thi May, a young woman from a rural village in Nam Dinh, came from a challenging background and often felt insecure about her appearance. After her transformative procedures, she was given career opportunities through Life Dream Club’s network. Today, May has become an outstanding consultant at Kangnam Aesthetic Hospital, a testament to the impact of the program on her life.
Like Phan Thi May, Tran Thi Thuy—nicknamed the “girl with the giant tongue”—once led a reclusive life, burdened by insecurities about her appearance and facing communication challenges. Through transformative aesthetic surgery by Life Dream Club's medical team, Thuy gained newfound confidence and beauty. She was then given career guidance and secured a position at the very hospital where she was treated, blossoming into a skilled nurse.
These stories illustrate Life Dream Club’s commitment not only to transforming appearances but also to empowering individuals to lead fulfilling, valued lives.
There are countless ways to give back, from simple acts like donating money, food, and clothing. However, perhaps the most sustainable form of charity is to transform lives and empower individuals facing difficulties into valuable members of society. These are individuals who gain confidence in themselves and receive the right guidance to contribute meaningfully to the community.
Join us at the Life Dream Club—let’s make more dreams come true!
